Johnson Celtic Mandolins
Traditional Models
We've taken our Celtic Mandolins back to their roots, and reintroduced a line designed from traditional Celtic models. These mandolins are made from all solid woods. We select only choice spruce with tight, uniform grain. Back and sides are made from hard maple and the neck is mahogany, that is shaped for maximum comfort.

We use the traditional X-braced soundboard but outfit the instrument with an adjustable trussrod for modern reliability. Other features include mulit-ply body binding, rosewood fretboard and bridge, a compensated saddle, and high quality chrome plated tuning machines. We use a traditional Celtic knotwork design for the headstock inlay.

    New Models
These mandolins are design with a better sound and playability than the traditional Bouzouki and Octave Mandolin. They have an extra deep body with big sound and lots of bark. The andolins feature a warm sunburst finish top. The backs and sides are made from highly flamed maple and have a chocolate brown finish. The necks are made from hard maple and the fretboards are rosewood with ivoroid binding and inlaid abalone. The diecast tuning machines have a 16:1 gear ratio.
