www.16tracks.com How To Read Tablature Contact

Free Lessons

Welcome to the free lessons at www.16tracks.com.

To use these lessons and tablature, you need a computer capable of playing MIDI sounds. Most computers with a sound card can play MIDI. Better sound cards will sound more realistic.

The current lesson format is TablEdit. TablEdit is a program for creating, editing, printing and listening to tablature and sheet music (standard notation) for guitar and other fretted, stringed instruments. The cost is $54.95 but you don't have to buy it just for these lessons.

Instead, you can dowload and install TEFView. This program will allow you to view, print, and hear (at any speed and with looping) all of the lesson files and tablature. You may upgrade to TablEdit later if you need the ability to edit tablature.
